Would it solve our environmental problems if the human's population were to stabilize?

If so, how?|||Stabilization of population will help solve environmental problems only to a certain extent. Human being depend on the environment to survive, thereby it only logical to assume that reduction in the increase of population will result in less impact on the environment.





I however think that the human being of this era are greedy, therefore they misuse the environment. They don't use it for survival but for other unnecessary things. one person would have 3 cars all emitting harmful gases in the atmosphere.





A change in attitude towards our environement will go a long way in solving envirnmental problems.|||The more humans there are, the more stress we put on the Earth's resources.





If everyone on Earth lived liked Americans, it would take 4 Earths to support everyone.





That means, as the standard of living around the world increases (especially in China and India), one of those things have to happen


a) the world population has to decrease


b) our standard of living has to drop down to that of everyone around us|||The population isn't necessarily the problem, it is how the population interacts, manages and treats the environment.





So I do not believe that population stablisation would "solve" our environmental problems. It is the actions of the population that will "solve" the problems.|||well im not sure if we stablized our population growth if it was to help much all i know is that we need to try our best to look after our mother earth cause without her were stuffed and people dont realize that , although you may say a poplulation stablization may help but it doesnt matter how many people we have its about what we do to nourish and protect our earth.|||Yes.. I think so, that's why I agree with birth control so our population will not grow bigger. It will help in such a way that less people less pollution in all forms, so by these we can help our environment.|||Yes,especially people who does not care about the world we live.|||It would help if numbers of people decreased. Pandemic|||ya offcourse
