It's geared to children and teens, but also of interest to adults. It explains some of the concepts from the film in much greater detail.





He co-organized the Live Earth concerts, beginning in 2007, to increase awareness about climate change, get young people excited about becoming involved, and raise money for environmental causes. The first one brought together 150 different musical acts in 11 different locations. Very successful concerts. They were broadcast and streamed over the Internet and attracted huge audiences worldwide.





He launched at least two venture capital or investment companies tied to improving the environment and improving financial portfolios of those interested in these issues. One was called Generation Investment Management. This began in 2004. He heads the climate change solutions group for the venture capital firm Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers.





In 2007 he won the Nobel Peace Prize, which he shared with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The award was given "for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change."





Finally he has testified before Congress many times, trying to convince them of the importance of responding to the serious threats posed to the earth by the toxic pollutants, carbon dioxide emissions and other causes of climate change.
