How do Automobile complicate environmental problems such as global warming? Are there any solutions to this?|||Automobiles release carbon emissions into the air. So think of a cigarette, you know how when you smoke the carcinogens go into your lungs, eventually turning them black? Well its the same with the environment/ozone layer. They give out carbon emissions and then the ozone layer starts this whole "green house gas effect" and basically in the end it traps the sun in the earth between the ground and the ozone layer causing everything to heat up and icebergs to melt etc.|||Automobiles complicate the possible solutions, not the "problem".

In other words.

The Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). - Mobilized the world.

Trading between nations where made possible by the Internal Combustion Engine. Defeating Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan, was made possible by the Internal Combustion Engine. The food you eat, was transported to your local market by a Internal Combustion Engine. Transportation goods, has been made possible by the Internal Combustion Engine. Everything you accept as normal, made possible by an Internal Combustion Engine. Eliminating ICE from the equation would indeed have a very dramatic effect on all life, as we know it, today.
